1. Watch the shampoo

cleaning your hair and killing all the germs in it, and you think that should
help your hair grow faster that is completely wrong. Your hair secretes oils
that are intended to help your hair grow, and that’s what make your hair seem
greasy. By shampooing regularly you are stripping your hair of its natural oils
and that slows down the rate at which your hair grows. An easy way to fix this
should be shampooing your hair at most twice a week, that way you are cleaning
your hair and at the same time, letting it soak in those natural oils, killing
two birds with one stone. But if you are really a shampoo freak, you could use
shampoos that do not have any stripping agents like SLS in them.
2. Oils
Oils are essential for efficient hair growth
because of the amount of nutrients, minerals and moisturizing capabilities they
hold. Your hair obviously needs oils to grow that is why your scalp secretes
it, but many people do have naturally dry scalp and they need the oils to help
feed their scalp with moisture. Dry scalp or greasy scalp, you really need that
oil to help your hair grow efficiently. The best oils to use on your scalp are
coconut oil, olive oil, jojoba oil, castor oil etc. mixing of these oils to
increase their effects is recommended.
3. Let the hair be
Combing your hair, always touching it,
always tugging at it is ruining your hair as the days go by. Always tugging at
your hair tends to break of the ends leaving you with intense split ends, which
will stop your hair growth journey way before you reach the end. Of course you
are bound to have split ends they are natural, that’s why you should get trims
regularly, but when you start increasing the amount of split ends you have, it
makes it extremely difficult for your hair to pass a particular length. Always
combing your hair, breaks of the hair that should not be gone. There’s this
myth that says that if you comb your hair a hundred times a day it will grow
faster. Yes, that is a lie because while you are combing it you are breaking
off pieces that should not be leaving your head. Protective hairstyles
can help your hair growth journey because it helps you not always touch your
hair. This doesn’t mean you should not comb you hair, but just do it a little
less.
4. Your diet
I think it goes without saying that eating good
and healthy food obviously contributes immensely to how long and healthy your
hair grows. Your body needs good food to enable it stay healthy and so does
your hair. It’s not just about the 500 dollar hair products, but it is also
about the way you eat. Taking an apple a day or fresh veggies in every meal
really helps your hair growth immensely. It also helps your skin glow brighter
than the sun. Healthy meals do not always have to be boring as, a matter of
fact if you work hard enough you can make your hair growth journey pretty
tasty.
5. Drink water
Everyone says it, everyone has heard it,
but nobody does it. Drinking water is extremely healthy and it does
wonders for hair growth. Think about inhaling fumes, gases and other air pollutants
and then going somewhere and getting a breath of fresh air, that is what
drinking water is like. After eating all that junk food or even healthy food
that your body needs a lot of strength to digest, taking water not only helps
push down the food but it is also like a breath of fresh air for your digestive
tract. Not only that, it also helps cleanse the body of all those unhealthy
anti bodies and bad food inside your body, which helps you live a healthier
and stronger life
